Vancouver Farmer’s Market. The summer outdoor market season begins in April. On weekends, more than 200 vendors offer local produce, plants and high-end arts and crafts. Food booths feature local and international while entertainers provide live music. The Market is in the heart of downtown Vancouver next to Vancouver's public square, Esther Short Park. Summer concerts and outdoor festivals are also held here.
Camas Meadows Golf Club. Camas Meadows Golf Club was recently the number one public course in Oregon and Southwest Washington, according to a survey in the Portland Business Journal.. A 645-acre park located minutes from downtown Portland, Tryon Creek State Park features eight miles of nature trails between Boones Ferry Road and Terwilliger Boulevard in southwest Portland. You can bike along three miles of paved trail on the park's eastern edge. There are four miles of horse trails. The park operates a nature store, and has summer youth day camps, school tours, guided nature walks and special events.

For oenophiles (that’s wine buffs) there is a new winery in the area you’ll want to visit. Rusty Grape Vineyard, which opened in October 2007, is located just east of Battle Ground. There is a gift shop with an assortment that inlcudes gift baskets, hand-painted wine glasses, wine racks and wine stoppers. Plans for an outdoor amphitheater are underway, where the owners eventually plan to have film screenings in the summer. Free wine tastings every Saturday from Noon to 6 pm.
